European Metal Recycling operate over 40 authorised treatment facilities for the environmentally sound treatment of vehicles in the United Kingdom.
The company inspects all vehicles on receipt and identification checks are made before they are de-registered. The battery, wheels and any hazardous parts are removed for reuse, recycling or disposal.
Purpose built de-pollution rigs allow all the operating fluids to be extracted. The most effective method of draining fuel involves carefully piercing the vehicle’s tank using specialist equipment in a controlled area.
Oils, brake fluid, antifreeze and other fluids are removed by specialist drilling and suction systems. All fluids are stored in double-skinned tanks to contain them safely and avoid any leakage.
